As an emerging tool, laser cutting machines are becoming increasingly mature in various industries, including laser cutting machines, laser engraving machines, laser welding machines, etc. So how to use laser cutting and distinguish the quality of laser cutting?

Firstly, the energy of the laser is concentrated in the form of light into a high-density beam of light. The beam of light is transmitted to the working surface, generating enough heat to melt the material. In addition, the beam laser directly removes molten metal, thereby achieving the purpose of cutting.

The laser beam emitted by the generator of the laser cutting machine is focused onto a high-power laser beam irradiation state through an optical system. The heat of the laser is absorbed by the workpiece material, and after reaching the boiling point, the material begins to vaporize and form pores. Under the action of high-pressure airflow, as the relative position of the crossbeam and the workpiece moves, the material ultimately forms a slit.

The cutting process parameters (cutting speed, laser power, gas pressure, etc.) and motion trajectory of the laser cutting machine are controlled by the CNC system. The slag at the slit is blown away by auxiliary gas with a certain pressure. Generally speaking, its standards can be measured by the following six standards.

Laser is a type of light produced by atomic (molecular or ion) transitions and spontaneous radiation, similar to other luminescent substances in nature. Although laser is light, unlike ordinary light, it only relies on spontaneous radiation for a short period of time, and the subsequent process is completely determined by excitation radiation. Therefore, lasers have very pure colors, almost no divergence directionality, and high luminous intensity.

At the same time, the laser has high coherence and high directivity. After the laser is generated, it is emitted by a reflector and irradiated onto the processed object through a focusing mirror, causing the processed object (surface) to receive strong thermal energy. The temperature rises sharply, causing the point to quickly melt or vaporize due to high temperature, thus achieving the goal of using the operating trajectory of the laser head for processing.

For each working mode of the laser cutting machine, we have some differences in the operation process. Laser engraving: mainly performed on the surface of objects, divided into two types: bitmap engraving and loss engraving: bitmap engraving: we first hang the image that needs to be engraved in Photoshop, convert it to monochrome BMP format, and then open the graphics file in a dedicated laser engraving and cutting software.
