In recent years, with the rapid development of laser cutting machines, more and more customers began to use fiber laser cutting machines to cut round holes. The fiber laser cutting machine not only cuts the smooth section, but also has variable aperture and flexible processing. It is the choice for cutting round holes.  

However, using a laser machine to cut round holes is not as simple as you think. Now, we will provide you with a simple analysis of the precautions for cutting round holes.

1. The round hole is too small

The ratio of round hole cutting by laser cutting machine is 1:1. The larger the aperture, the better the cutting. When the capacity of the laser cutting machine is insufficient, irregular round holes and residual breakpoints will be produced.

2. The gas pressure is too high or too low

If the gas pressure is too high, the hole will be larger than we need. If the pressure is too small, the cutting edge will become rough and the combustion will be serious. Therefore, selecting appropriate air pressure is one of the methods to solve the irregularity of round hole cutting.

3. Servo motor parameters

Many parameters of servo motor are related to arc motion. Improper parameters will lead to elliptical or irregular shape of cutting hole.

4. The accuracy of lead screw or guide rail is not enough

In some small factories, the technical strength and working ability of the workers are not high. The accuracy of the laser cutting machine is less than 0.1 mm, and the accuracy of the round hole cannot meet the requirements.
